Anthony Di Franco (Ramleh, Skullflower, AX) debuts on L.I.E.S. with his infamous JFK project.

Anthony Di Franco (Ramleh, Skullflower, AX) debuts on L.I.E.S. with his infamous JFK project. Starting in 1987, Di Franco was immersed in the burgeoning UK "tape exchange by mail" scene which fostered many different strains of extreme and experimental sounds being developed during this time.

Initially working in a murky, decayed industrial sound, as the project has progressed to the the present, JFK has transformed the early approach into a now razor sharp, hi- fidelity, punishing wall of sound that still envelops the listener in the same way as his early music but now with a refined and massive sonic attack.

Throughout Avalanche Zone's six tracks we get Di Franco in top form alternating from blistering machine gun rhythms to stand still slow beat metallic crushers with synthetic electrified drama forcing the air from the speakers demonstrating full on sound pressure. This is a welcome addition to the JFK catalog and further expands how the artists vision has developed as the years have passed. Complete and total heaviness!

Descending in tempo across three tracks, Outer Heaven states his case founded in breaks. ‘The Observatory’, ‘More Hardcore’ and ‘Minority Industrial Complex’ trail across the hardcore continuum connecting drum & bass to hardcore to hip hop. Essential listening for the discerning raver.
Constant Black is one of the numerous labels in UK artist Burnski's orbit. He's been a man on form on all fronts in recent years and here he snaps up Retrospect for a trio of super slick and funky minimal house cuts. 'Ay-up!' is a cheeky opener with subtle northern welcomes hidden in the mix as the lithe bass and 2-step tinged drums do their thang. It's reet good. 'Schneebly' gets more pacey and balmy, with silky and oily bass and kinetic drum work all underpinned by a sick bass tone. Last of all comes '4 U' which has something of an upright garage skip and downright irresistible groove. These are high functioning, charismatic cuts to pump up any floor.
Zeta Reticula makes his Censor debut with Star’s Wobble EP. The A side starts with the EP title track with rushing leads, arps and a distinct energy that ZR is known for, all held together with electronic clangs and atmospheres adding tension to the mix.Next is Planet’s surface which has a murkier and tougher sound, jumping between broken beats and 4/4 electro territory in sections that creates a twisting, turning wormhole straight to the galaxy from which it was made. Unaided Eye is the final track of the A with a deeper and more drum focused mix intertwined with tripped out pads and fx.On the flip, Sync 24 & Alex Jann take care of the title track remix adding a rushing bass, claustrophobic edits, builds and impacts that the pair are known for respectively. Francois Dillinger brings the B-Side to a close with a sparse stripped back electro sound adding almost a down-tempo alternative to Zeta Reticula’s original. This is Censor’s 5th vinyl release following on from London Modular Alliance, Assembler Code and Alex Jann.Mastered by Alden TyrellAll tracks Uroš UmekRemix P by Sync 24 & Alex Jann (Star’s Wobble Remix) // Francois Dillinger (Planet’s Surface Remix)
For our first-ever LP we proudly present INTRO’s “Odyssey Of Shifting Emotions”. A collection of tracks recorded in the 90’s by the Madrid-based legends Francisco & Nacho Sotomayor. Before moving into various musical realms, the pair had been quietly honing their craft for years. Meticulously programming near-perfect drum loops and placing them onto subtle layers of otherworldly synthesis. The music inspires intro-mental journeys yet remains tinged with energy and emotion. These are the sorts of contrast that can be expected on this LP. While clearly sharing certain themes, each track brings its own ideology to the table, allowing this record to humbly fit in your bag on an array of occasions.
Mike Parker with a second volume of his Devil's Curators series on Donato Dozzy and Neel's Spazio Disponibile imprint. Another pack of powerful and spacious techno hypnotism. Touching a wide range of tempo's and moods while staying in close touch with the original Mike Parker aesthetics.
Robert Fleck makes his return after a lengthy spell on the side-lines, delivering a stellar EP packed with genre-bending purlers. Limited pressing!
