De Lichting announces its first solo record “Znton EP”, by the courtesy of Boris Acket (half of Working Titles). Boris delivers a conceptual club package of six lingering yet pounding groovers, ranging from playful minimal to dreamy house and more UK to techno influenced bass music. Four out of six tracks made their way onto vinyl, while the other two will be available digital on De Lichting’s Bandcamp page. Produced in one run with just a drum computer, mono synth, sampler, tape echo and a mixer, the release comprises a solid overlapping sound, but preserves its diversity through shimmering delays, distorting ring modulations and ever haunting synth patterns.

Celebrating his 25th year as a producer and DJ, London's Silverlining announces his first ever double-vinyl artist project, 'Simulacra', a collection of emotive yet powerful body music fresh from his South London studio. Known for his diverse and bassline-driven grooves, this work sees him straddle between the stripped-back house and techno that we have come to adore on his acclaimed Silverlining Dubs series, with eclectic forays into territories of electronic musicality unexplored by him until now. Adopting a similar analogue workflow and kit-list to that used for his 1990s productions, the collection retains his trademark sonic brilliance, whilst demonstrating, once again, that his ideas are far from running out.Subtly interwoven into its mood and lyrics, the album explores themes of dependence on misrecognised digital identities, and the importance of real world tangibility. For the album's artwork, Silverlining has collaborated with celebrated print-making artist, Leonie Bradley, whose work explores similar themes. This versatile collection of new music from Silverlining caters both for tasteful record collectors, and deeper DJs alike, with its extensive yet consistent spectrum of flavours.
192 rec is back for summer time with a new debut EP signed by Atawël, a fellow French Reptilian based in Berlin. “Colors EP” is a groover. Deep and funky, it shines at beach parties, late after-hours, or any time you wanna bounce.
Kasper Marott will release his debut album ‘Full Circle’ in November on his own Axces Recordings imprint. The album features 11 tracks that explore different genres and moods, while remaining within Kasper’s colourful universe.Full Circle demonstrates Kasper’s ability to play with layers and structure. The tracks are built from complex layered harmonies, looped melodies and different rhythmic textures. Kasper’s intuitive approach to production, in addition to the inspiration he finds in other genres, his local community and society as a whole, has resulted in an album that feels fresh and unique.“With the tracks on the album, I think I’ve been through a process of pushing my own notions within contrasts, musical themes, genres, and composition. Whether the musical tool is transcendence, catchy melodies, or silly experiments, the goal is to put the listener in a position that allows an enriching and meaningful experience whether it’s good, bad, funny, euphoric, nostalgic, sore, or even something completely different.”In 2018, Kasper released his breakthrough EP on Modeselektor's Seilscheibenpfeiler label. The euphoric title track ‘Keflavik’ lit up clubs and festivals all year long and was named “one of the biggest club records of the year” by Resident Advisor. One of the album’s tracks, ‘Sol’, will also be released as an extended version on Kasper’s forthcoming EP on Seilscheibenpfeiler.

Fragments of Reality returns for the eagerly awaited third instalment with four exclusive tracks catering for diverse dancefloors.ATAXIA & Mister Joshooa kick off with 'Subversive' - a slick tripped-out breakbeat-driven jam from Detroit's Marble Bar and TV Lounge residents. It's a powerful and expertly programmed production with a barrage of drums and bass held down by an array of ricocheting synth and vocal FX, tried and tested on Detroit's most discerning dancefloors. Next up Harrison BDP let's loose with 'Dirty Mochyn', a 90's inspired roller from the prolific producer featuring his signature dubby sound design, synth licks and a throbbing bassline.Strap yourselves in, as the flip side opens with a deep house composition from hotly tipped Leeds based producer Adam Pits. 'Pat On The Back' sucks you into a wormhole of bubbling music with cosmic pads swirling around the stereo field and a beautifully expressive synth line - finished to perfection with a highly swung TR909 groove. The record is then perfectly balanced by Berlin based Keisuke with 'Ok Taiko' - a deep driving house track following hot on the heels from his killer debut EP on Phonica White. 'Ok Taiko' oozes with TB303 goodness and nostalgia-evoking piano stabs, all strung together with an ever evolving house rhythm.
