Delsin welcomes Jayson Wynters into the fold for a four-track EP that embodies techno as a vibrant, expressive artform with the ability to uplift. On The Affect Heuristic, Wynters strides forth with an electrifying machine language, calling to mind the feverish, psychedelic tweaking and layering of visionaries like Dan Curtin and Lee Purkis (In Sync). Across four tracks, Wynters pivots between distinctly Motor City-indebted funk, springy electro-techno and vivid, immersive soundchasms. The artwork - a canny meld of bold geometry, bright colours and rough textures from Erosie and Erris Huigens (Graphic Surgery) - responds to the music in a wholly appropriate way.
Luv*Jam presents The Legend Of Gelert 3000.8 ‘Tryfan’ with Lootbeg.Anti lockdown nip alert. Lootbeg climbs out of lockdown hibernation and delivers a record to make us wiggle our hearts out with a gigantic dizzy sunbeam smile... Time to climb the 8th highest peak of the 3000’s - Tryfan with its two distinct large slabs marking the summit “Adam & Eve”, not forgetting the widely recorded “cannon” stone too. This is the 8th summit and 8th record of a highly collectable 14 piece series brought to you from the very same NiP headquarters that brought us Crow Castle Cuts and Blind Jacks Journey... Extra Peaky Nippiness from the ever secretive Rucksack Club.Pressed on super duper yummy yellow vinyl, like the dream house classic “Blorp93” from Gnork!
Late Night Superglue present the third edition of their Biscuit series with a collection of hard-hitting, transcontinental jams from the minds of Buraye, Yard Customer, Tonnovelle, JJ Fortune and Louis Frederic. The EP brings together artists from across the globe - Colombia, Ireland, Tehran and London - connected by a taste for a particular haunting sound. A long time in the making, the label has been working to gather music from this group of artists for a number of years, a journey which for some included time on the front line together at dancefloors in Barcelona and London along the way.The A-side kicks off with Buraye’s ‘Wireless Dialogue’. A brooding piece of techno from Colombia, characterised by its punchy kicks, haunting synths and subtle acid twists, which perfectly set the tone for the rest of the EP. The A2, ‘Contraflow’, is brought to you by Yard Customer. Hip-hop samples and shuffling drums lead a track which has an overarching air of menace - big tip!Tonnovelle’s ‘Bliss’ opens the flip with a bang. A rip-roaring affair utilising vintage percussion juxtaposed with futuristic stabs to continue Biscuit Three’s muscular motif. ‘Fern’ by JJ Fortune & Louis Frederic wraps up the 4-tracker with more peak time spooky grooves...
Lowless is back with a new release featuring two newcomers to the label, Italy’s OPL and Worg. The label and artists continue to immerse themselves in a deep minimalist universe with this four tracks dancefloor oriented EP.A blend of synthesis and carefully crafted atmospheric sounds will take you on a mesmerizing journey.
Some 20 years on from its initial release, it's amazing how fresh and current 'Praise' by Leigh Dickson sounds, every bit as reinvigorating as a swim in an icy mountain stream. Sushitech imprint Pariter have opted to remaster the lush original mix in its full glory, adding the already well known and much loved Baby Ford Heavenly Circuit remix alongside a new, unreleased 'alternative remix' and new mixes by Pariter's own Ogerman and Derek Carr. All four sides are eminently playable in the deep house/techno framework, as you'd imagine, with varying levels of the original's bewitching instrumentation retained.
