In the past few years Paramida has been busy aligning the planets to her liking.

In the past few years Paramida has been busy aligning the planets to her liking: notching up residencies at Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson and Rinse FM. Now she sets her sights on something new: the moon. Her first 12” is here, and in it she channels its energy into 2 unexpected, long-awaited cuts: ‘Dream Ritual’ and ‘French House 2000’, releasing them on her own Love On The Rocks imprint and offering a glimpse of things to come with remixes from Youandewan and the mysterious Alchemical Sisters – AKA Octo Octa & Eris Drew. The eagle has landed, and she is energy.

‘Dream Ritual’ begins firing on all cylinders with heavy percussion and deep rolling basslines that recall early 90s house & jungle, leading to a frenetic, hi hat-heavy drum workout and the drop of a hypnotising lead, carrying us through sections of dreamy pads, swirling trippy clouds that build to breaking point then clear to reveal the raw breaks behind; a stormy sunrise over an extended rave on the shores of a tropical planet, made of ecstasy.

Eris Drew & Octo Octa’s sublime rework stretches the pads and otherworldly samples over a thumping, jump-up take on affairs: stop/start workouts between pressurised build ups, slamming percussion fills and a cheeky acid bassline, all twisting, turning and bubbling away to effervescent effect.

French House 2000 comes in with pounding drums at 130bpm, laced with razor sharp hi hats and punctuated by rushes of dreamy distant melodies, synth stabs and nods to mid-90s French and UK house, techno and trance, a particular blend of genres synonymous with Paramida’s DJ output which she looks set to fuse ingeniously in her production.

Youandewan steps up for the remix, dialling down the intensity for a more reflective, more sci-fi take: a latenight spacewalk through a cluster of eerie sonic debris, moving at brisk pace with a stoned energy past trance-tinged horizons, pausing occasionally to take in the view.

The past is over. A new cycle begins. Dream Ritual will be released on 12” vinyl only with a A2 poster inlay and download code, in a divine ceremony on the night of the full moon.

"Jungle Generation" is the third release on Outcast Planet, signed by it's resident dj Bakked. All the tracks are dance-floor oriented, characterized by dynamic drums, acid and trancy melodies matched together with a deep soul, as this guy perfectly knows how to do.
After a 2 year hiatus, Silver Dollar Club returns to round out a trilogy of EPs with a sparkling slab of weirdo tearjerkers and club-ready cuts from Bristol's own Remotif. With a healthy lineup of releases on Coymix, Air Miles, and his own label Familiar Strangers, it's been a busy year for Joe Reddick and for good reason: Prolific and versatile, he combines a classic club sensibility with an exploratory approach to space and texture that results in a sound all his own.Slap Bass, wet arps, emotional breaks & driving percussion all come together to make a record that we're very proud to be able to put our name on. This will be the last in a series of three records from Silver Dollar Club; so play it in your sets, play it in the car, play it in the bath, whatever you do, just play it.
We have rolled around to one of my favourite forms of Holding Hands releases. The various artists goodness that is Slam Jams, this being number 3.I have drafted in bangers of the highest calibre from the likes of Ste Roberts, Bolam, Inner Zone and Yosh. They go high, they go low, they go fast and they go...slightly less fast. If you like slammers, and I’m guessing that you do, then this will be a veritable day out at the fair for your ears.OK enough of my blather. Go and listen to the damn things yourself and decide if you like them, rather than trying to work it out from reading a bloody press release you weirdos. All four tracks are produced and sculpted for the club. They want big sound systems and dark rooms. Close your eyes, hold hands and experience transcendental space flight...
Digging Deeper 4th release strikes again with a Maurizio Verbeni secret early dark garage weapon , limited press , remastered louder than original . don't sleep
CALLING ALL FRENETIC LOONS - cursed to strut on thy toes, or to point them to the sky. Has a lack of dance based activity made you weary? The deprivation of bass inflected oxygen surging thru your body resulted in a euphoric fatigue? Well rise and shine all you. Spiritually Deluded kinder, the hit parade is back, with Roza T & D. Tiff tip-toeing in with 8 tracks high in kinetic synergy and low in “bOriNGG!!”. The sound of 2 artists; serious in their intent yet blowing raspberries at the cork sniffers/snobs, obstinate to the world of industrial decay press shots + plastic ravers.Instead they straddle the Edge of Innocence. Residue of lines once written, now your own personal tightrope. You wobble to and fro as part of a troupe of ethereal jesters, composed of Lil’ Drummer Boi’s pitter pattering on Gravity Bongo’s. Both tracks repping and following the rhythm of the ozone bounce house. With enough elasticity you’ll ^^break thru^^, experiencing Possession by momentary ascension. The weightless sensation of falling in a circle; catch yourself if you please. Such transcendence is lucrative, the Paparazzi on hand to flash and burn the retina, providing instant short-circuit delusions of grandeur. Sonically every hard knock is met with a “bOinKK!!”, illuminating the dark yet cartoonish nature of the practice - guaranteed to make u skip, achieve the perfect sly pout. You and your gang can terraform into bodacious bass-bins, and cast your personal Redemption Arc onto the ether.Inhibitions are to be absolved, and fat kickdrums to be followed. In this hyper-informed yet unknowing present tense, who can ignore the beat based intrinsic incentive to fuck up the circadian rhythm - the music becoming a byte-based silkworm, spinning its digital silk from synapse to synapse, until your brain is a translucent cocoon playfully ricocheting, the cranium its pleasure dome. Call the drum dealer.
