Third D21 release by Joao Necton who has previously released the "Devastante" E.P. on D21"Hay Alguien" is a journey in heavy atmospheres, House, Techno and Electro with sounds fused between industrial and futuristic.Identity in every release of Joao who shows us an apocalyptic world where people lose their minds.
The co-curated Air Texture Compilation series returns with two Brooklyn based selectors. As the cost of living in Manhattan proper moved artist minded migration patterns further afield, places like East Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Ridgewood became post-cultural centers in a way, with producer after producer gaining international recognition in the last 10+ years. New clubs such as Nowadays, Knockdown Center, and Elsewhere furthered the momentum, anchored by first mover Bossa Nova, and important festivals like Mutual Dreaming and Dweller came soon after. Collectively, the stage was set for a beautiful moment in electronic music history, still unfolding, and maybe something that could only happen in the States in a place like Brooklyn.
Nimbus are three chaps originally from the house music epicentre of Woking, England. In the early 2000s, Oli, Jonathan and Pete carted a gigantic Dell computer between each other's houses to craft a modest but timeless back catalogue of deep and emotional tracks. Their music was featured on European labels Bitboutique and the excellent Iron Box Music at the time; of which "Entron" a particular shining example of their sound, only recently gained notoriety amongst a number of discerning DJs. For Those That Knoe is proud to present a sonic snapshot of those times the lads spent in the home counties with three previously released cuts from the aforementioned labels and one taken from their unreleased archives.
Marco Funari’s Music Institute Records make’s a return with it’s first ever release from 1993, remastered and re-released. Another lost house classic !
5th installment of the label, fully composed and produced by label-boss Aline Brooklyn and Obee. Two beautiful remixes by Liquid Earth and Irie Nation. Original poem and vocals by Cemre Su Salur. And as usual, a piece of art for the cover picture by Arthur Schildge.
