Following on from last years roaring success of HMND001, Humanoid Recordings hit again with a super-strength four-track EP from man of the moment DMC.

On the A-side, “The High Rip” pushes and pulls, dropping dancefloor delight at every turn, whilst “Afternoon Snacker” comes with incredible relentless energy - it's slap-style bassline providing pure bliss. Over on the B-side, “Vallyrie” keeps up the unerring quality with it's Italo-esque bassline and magical pads that wash over the mix beautifully. “Same Way as the Stars” rounds off the EP with pure class, mixing depth, musicality and dancefloor functionality, showcasing DMC's flair for high quality production as is the theme throughout. A must have!

For the next release on the label, Undersound reaches to the Caucasian country of Georgia with this electro 4-tracker from Generali Minerali. The up-and-coming artist is the booker and sound engineer at the Drama Bar in Tbilisi. He opens the EP with two darker jams with swirly 303 lines on steady 808 rhythms. Influences from the late Microlith permeate these tracks, as the artist mentions him as one of his biggest inspirations. The B-side slows the tempo down with “808 dream” where delayed melancholic melodies are intertwined with rough saw waves. Finally, “Evening Mood” offers the perfect mood for a warm-up or after party with its downtempo swing and drums.
The Cobra extends its skin to welcome Benedikt Frey and Yu Su to the Siamese Twin records family. Exploring and remixing two original tracks of Mogambo's Cobra EP, Frey and Su contribute tracks to this a deep-red spiced up marbled 10". Yu Su transforms Jeena from the original slow burner into a ravey, jungle slugger that leaves one in a lucid early morning after hours dream. Fusing stomping tribal rhythms and haunting synth pads, combined with the hypnotizing vocals of Thai artist Chucheewa, she morphs the track into an exploration of a tripped out mind.Benedikt Frey reworks the relatively straightforward Matum into a musical multi-dimensional mase opening a wormhole for cats to enter space. A spiritual and trippy puzzle that never seems to end and sheds confusion, leaving one to wonder if there is any way out of this trip monster. An ideal collage of sounds perfectly shaped as a halftime dubby re-interpretation.Originally Recorded and mixed by Sunju Hargun and Jerom Doudet in the city of Bangkok and islands of Koh Chang, August - December 2019.Mastered by Spaventi at Maspaventi Studio - February 2020Lacquer cut by Marco Pellegrino at Analogcut MasteringArtwork by Taychin Dunnvatanachit180 gram, marbled vinyl
Originally released on Resound Records, a one-off subsidiary of the classic Gherkin imprint in 1990. The title track is a deep hypnotic 12 minute ride through the Chicago underground. On the flip are the smooth & emotional ‘Isolation’ and the euphoric rush that is ‘Silent Noise’. Timeless Chicago House Music. Essential EP!
A Walking Contradiction expands its label family with Aa Sudd and Kombe. Having released solely exclusive Varuna material before, the Basel based imprint now welcomes two close friends for the first installment of their Demi Monde series. Three murky slow techno jams in typical Varuna fashion where fascinating eerie atmospheres work their way up through vigorous half paced grooves.
