Templeight is Temple’s eighth release,

Templeight is Temple’s eighth release,

The first in our seventh year.

It features eight tracks

from artists spanning

two continents.

These are bent songs

of glimmering confusion

that rejoice in dissolution;

songs to truncate the space

Between us all.

We love them,

and you might too.

Maara’s latest effort comes straight from the inner zone. Whether meant for use as vision quest guidance or club hedonism, Fancy Feast continues the Canadian’s tradition of crafting seductive, trance-inducing dance music in mesmeric fashion. ‘Can’t Slo Down’ is a vehicle for transcendence. Locked-in, hypnotic fare with subtle gear shifts consistent with Maara’s propensity towards trippy atmospherics and urgent dancefloor dynamics. Then, in a heady alloy of ritual throb and fractal warehouse ruffness, ‘Highrollerz’ finds Maara at her most propulsive. Prog reigns supreme across the record, but 'Princess Express' has the third-eye dilating magick in full effect. It’s both fractal and functional, a ritual incantation with rugged appeal. ‘Rude, Crude & Out Of Control’, on the other hand, harks back to those halcyon days of the free party movement. Proper breakbeat torque with yet another healthy dose of prog.
Meetsysteem's 2020 album Cr:GO remixed. Rotterdam techno veteran Speedy J transformed 'Noch de Sterren van de Hemel'; a masterclass of synth wizardry, noise and fluctuating patterns, creating a fictional universe on its own that could be both heaven and hell. Mary Lake is back on Nous'klaer with a powerful, driving four to floor remix of 'Fkg Hoofd'. Konduku takes a deep dive with 'Sidda' and turned it into a 90 BPM dub version. To finish it off, Speedy J and Meetsysteem made collaborative remix, perfect for after hour ambient floors.
Lovable Rogues is the brainchild of Tech House duo Lee Humphreys and Evasive head honcho Rob Pearson. 3 Groove laden tracks from the golden era, being the early years of 'Proper' South London Tech House!Rob and Lee formed the production Duo ' Lovable Rogues' after they met and hit it off at Online Studios, Croydon in the mid 90's. This 3 Tracker launched Rob's Evasive Records Imprint back in 1999. A UK based DJ and Producer Lee Humphreys is known as one of London’s early Tech House pioneers. His production career goes back to the early 90’s and covers a vast array of styles and sounds under various pseudonyms.In the early 90's Rob Pearson already had various productions including Drum and Bass EPs on Basement Records & Online Recordings. In 1999 He headed back to his roots of House & Techno and was releasing on the now infamous Swag Records label and also as Online Collective.Look Into Your Eyes was written and produced by Rob & Lee at Online Studios, Croydon, UK and the other 2 cuts featured are solo efforts. 'Chica 'Was produced by Lee at Tofu Studios, Thanham, Germany and Rob's own track 'Twilight Manouvres' was also created at his base and Evasive Records Headquarters Online Studios.
Fraxinus emerges from temporary suspension with a monolithic 6-track offering on his new self-release label Powerplant. This is his debut EP Position [Displacement], carved from a solid block of Devonian granite.After a 4-year dormancy, the Amsterdam-based artist returns with a 30 minute transmission of earth-shaking kick drums, thunderous percussion and razor-sharp sound design. The label’s inaugural release simultaneously marks the first proper outing for the artist, following a run of compilation features & special edition vinyl excursions dating back to 2014.Position [Displacement] is a journey of divergent moods & cadences, from the wistful flutes of opener ‘Overland’ to final track ‘Laced’’s uncompromising arpeggios. Billowing melodies & piercing stabs run in tandem with a pummelling & steppy rhythm section; ‘Source Code’ builds steadily, paving the way for ‘Pass One’’s warehouse-ready assault. The blooming, fluorescent synths of ‘115 (Kondo)’ — named for the mythical Amsterdam club — create a mid-way moment of euphoria, before ‘Larch’ marches on with its clattering drums.The tracks clearly contain DNA from Fraxinus’ foundations with the Her Records cohort — lean, direct & forward-thinking. This time around the aesthetic is more focused, transferred to techno schematics but veering away from 4/4 fare. The sonics have been compacted into dense slabs of energy, primed for soundsystem dispatch.Wholly original, crafted with precision; the EP serves as a powerful statement of intent for both artist & label. Position [Displacement] will be released 05/11/2021 on 12” vinyl and digital download, presented with full sleeve artwork. The record is followed by a further 2 EPs on Powerplant as we enter 2022.
Denham Audio makes his long awaited debut onto Club Glow with the Thirty Eight Snub EP. 4 ruff cut breakbeat jungle tracks feature the legendary Grime MC Trim on the title track.
