With 2021’s much loved “Vinland In Space Ep (JR001)” under their belt, the Pakistan/Thailand outfit Jugaar Records crew are back with close friend and collaborator, Bangkok born and bred DOTT, whose “Puppy Luv” EP marks their second release.The DJ/Producer has been in fine form lately with releases on BLKMARKET amongst others, as well as opening a vinyl record store with his More Rice gang in Bangkok – the city's first specializing in house and techno.Having enjoyed a relatively lockdown free 2020, this year has seen more restrictions in the capital. Using his time wisely DOTT has regrouped, reflected and poured his energy into new and exciting ventures.The record consists of four dancefloor cuts primed for club action.The opener “What Am I Gonna Do” employs DOTT’s typical swing mechanics in a tough yet breezy jam, perfect for late-night into morning situations."Spacey Mango” is a peak-time groover with a squelchy acidic bassline that pulsates with increasing wildness, tempered by clinical synth stabs.On the B-side “Puppy Luv” takes a deeper tone with spacey chords and bleepy synth picks, it’s a roller!Finally, “Puppy Luv” is given the “FLiP” by the legendary Titonton Duvante. An early supporter of DOTT’s music, the Ohio based DJ takes the Bangkokian’s parts, adds a cheerful melody and employs his signature ever-evolving arrangement technique.

Steevio is perhaps one of the most influential electronic artists you’ve never come across. With more than forty years of knob-twiddling experience, this modular magician boasts enough cable to bring you to the moon and back. Away from the blinking racks, Steevio runs music festivals, like Freerotation, manages record labels and generally paves the way. Now this pioneer and Firescope are teaming up for a very special EP.With Acatalepsy, this veteran dives deep into his machines before resurfacing with four tracks of melting organic techno. “Tarantism” comes to life with drums, percussive textures that prove fertile ground for ever more intricate patterns while orange blossom keys bloom. From understated chatter, a hive of beats soon forms around “Cynefin” as dewy notes float on the warmth of a new dawn. The natural world is an integral part of these compositions, the industrious movement of rhythms, the change and reshaping that comes with growth. Another presence on the 12” is the musician himself and his own influences. These early inspirations come to the fore in the hazy hi-hats of “Oxytocin” with its satellite-like bleeps and dreamy basslines that echo both the armchair and club of sounds of 90s techno. Those bleeps grow ever more distant in the fragile finale of “Intonation.” A melody precariously perches, thawing like ice, above delicate echoes that ghost behind modular bulges as drums fade.Acatalepsy encapsulates the ephemeral nature of sound. Through this selection of one-off recordings, through these live jam sessions, Steevio captures a palpable and primal energy with an expert’s ear. An EP that casts spells from beginning to end, an EP from a true waveform wizard.

Album / LP Nor (pronounced “noolj") is DJ Sotofett’s Braindance album for SUED with music produced between 2002-2020. It was originally intended as a playlist for SVN between his studio sessions but quickly took the shape of this snappy LP balancing frenetic breaks and beautiful synthetics. The almost 20 year old tracks that pre-date all the Sex Tags projects are either made with one drum machine, one synthesizer and no sequencer – or Minidisc sample based collages pasted together on Qubase, while newer productions are partly programmed on Finnair.

'Go big or go home' could be Dream Ticket's motto by now, and Seoul-basedPyramid Of Knowledge has the sonic weaponry to live up to it: breaks, bass, acid and anextra heaping of laser noises. Second Ballet Mechanique re-issue from the Eevo Lute archives. Originally released in 1997, it was his second appearance on the legendary Eevo Lute imprint. The Borrenbergs 12 EP II marks Jeroen Borrenbergs return with three jams of 90s feeling electro and half-stepping techno that easily passed the test of time. First track 'Where's The DJ (Pissbreak Mix)' counts over 13 minutes of gritty acid electro, making a halfway transformation into a moody two-step mover. The perfect two-in-one track gives you all the time to go for a toilet break while still being in the mix ;). On the b-side the emotive side of Borrenbergs returns to the surface, with 'Vinyl Voyage' being a spooky bleep jam and 'Diamond Cut' presenting his trademark bassline energizers.
