After Jimmy Batt setting the bar very high with his “Retrospection” LP, OPIA Records invite two modern day innovators of dance floor energy to create their eleventh release. Taking up a side each on the record we have Rakya’s Idris Bena, and Slowlife affiliate, Paolo Mosca - a combination you never realised you needed.Bena kicks things off with his elastic grooves and futuristic melodies in “Earth Delight”, constantly evolving, a certain signature of his sought after sound in recent times. “Blood Moon” is another playful journey that leads you towards “Home”, a pacey and animated encounter.On the flip, Italian maestro, Paolo Mosca makes his mark with his precise and well executed productions. From a DJs point of view “Different Places” is a statement track, to catch the party in the moment, beautifully arranged with deep strings and a vibrant organ line. “Orion Trance” steers the ship in a different direction, melding together rubbery acid bass and euphoric synths.Two producers in their element, sitting strong on the evergreen OPIA imprint this summer.

This was another one of those rare moments when I listen to a straight up demo cold and just instantly know that it’s completely and utterly right for the label. Qant served me up some eyes down, impeccably produced bass heavy slices of pie and I was gobbling them down before you could say extra mozzarella.Big beats, big bass and enough bleep bloops to set up a satellite business. You asked for it, we're bringing it on wax. After the digital release of Higher in 2017 on Neovinyl, dozens of messages were received to press this Black Loops cut on vinyl. Years later, we are making it real on a record with fresh remixes from DJOKO and Hugo LX, two of the most important players of the contemporary house scene across the globe. This release will see light in the summer of 2022.

Beta Librae returns to Incienso with her third album, “DAYSTAR”. Whereas her previous album for the label, “Sanguine Bond” was an altogether more heady affair - “DAYSTAR”, like the name implies, is a bright and bold waypoint in the ever expanding Beta Librae universe.On eight songs, including a striking collaboration with james K on the lead single “Late At Night”, Beta gathers up new elements of sound and pairs them her unmistakable rhythmic shapes to bring us the most wide-ranging and cohesive B.L. album yet.
