Theo Kottis embarks on his Space Dust odyssey with a 3 track EP that provides perfect peak-time dancefloor moments.

Theo Kottis embarks on his Space Dust odyssey with a 3 track EP that provides perfect peak-time dancefloor moments. This debut collection of tracks for the label draws on 90s prog house & features 303 acid toplines. 'Solar' & 'Dreamscape' deliver euphoric breakdowns surrounded by stabbing synths, while 'Cosmic Drift' is a slower burn, building through its chuggy baseline. With Theo onboard, we look forward to exploring more of this musical direction through future releases on Space Dust.

Germany's DJ bwin returns to First Second Label with a sub heavy offering of experimentational dubstep, bass, techno and trap for the dark smoke filled room in your brain. Moritz Paul aka Leibniz and Alex Hoppe aka CIO known for their label Hundert (alongside Felix Paul) has seen them pushing the boundaries of these sounds and Cell Phone pushes their sound even further with 3 tracks that would give any system a heavy workout. Accompanied by a blissed out vibration filled remix from Berlin residing Cork born power house ELLLL this puts the icing on the cake for this already wobble heavy 12". The artwork, a combination of photography, paint and textiles is an extract from a cloth print by Irish artist and designer Shauna McGowan.
Paris-based producer and DJ, Drux, returns to his own Cabale Records this May with his Replicant EP, featuringtwo originals solo cuts, one collaboration with label co-founder Albin Renard plus a remix from Vienna’s PaulWalter.Recent years have seen Paris based DJ and producer Vincent Drux, simply known by his last name, unveil acollaborative album alongside Jacques Bon on the esteemed Smallville Records, a collaborative track with Bonon Lawrence and Carsten Jost’s much loved Dial imprint, a remix on Tiga’s Turbo and of course Cabale Recordswhere he returns here following the 2021 launch with the ‘Transe’ EP.Drux – Replicant EP (Incl. Paul Walter Remix)‘Pancouff’ opens the EP and sees Drux lay down metallic percussion, swaying low-end tones and crisp hatsalongside murky, unfurling atmospherics, hypnotic choir like chants and twitchy synths throughout. ‘Faire unflot’ follows and weaves together a snaking sub bass groove with shuffled, organic drums, glitched out synthsand billowing textures.Title-cut and Albin Renard collab ‘Replicant’ opens the flip side, stripping things back to snappy woodenpercussion, hypnotising spoken word vocals, ethereal synth swells and a fluttering low-end drive. Vienna’s PaulWalter then rounds out the EP with his ‘my Stellababy Remix’, extracting the core vibe of the original whilestamping his unique mark on things via oscillating drums, choppy vocal cuts and sweeping, airy tonesthroughout.
Partout continues its UK series with “Passage of Time EP” by Swoose, delivering a captivating journey through four unique tracks.
Another beautiful & booming release from Piezo on his rock solid Ansia imprint, conjuring up 5 tracks of frenetic & kinetic mind/body music that are distinctly his own with a reverent nod to such genres as UKG, grime, techno, gqom & footwork. Evolving beyond the manufactured nostalgia that populates today's current dance milieu, Piezo takes bass science into the realm of the metaphysical. “jRj” & “Big Room Technow” emanate metric tons of somatic energy for the club crowd, the former building up momentum on a gqom-infused grime pattern, while the latter is like a tin robot whistling an odd melody inside a peak-time 4/4 banger. “Sensory Overdraw” is an outstanding UKG curveball with a distinctive metallic bassline and intricate head swimming programming for the headphone listener.A similar approach is applied to “Cutest Kitty Content”, which teems with bizarre ear-candies, but moves with a different and faster framework. Footwork with outsider insight. Finally you have the digital exclusive “Zing Zang”, which slows things down but still keep the same balance between mind and body requirements. The genre references aren't blanketing the tracks as much as they are being manifested through pure passion and love: these tunes are all encompassing bin shakers that knock and sway the lucky participants that are awakened enough to be open to the journey. This is a rare release where you can see the forest from the trees and yet both can simultaneously be experienced and enjoyed.
