To celebrate their 10th release, Rhythm Buro, the Kyiv-based lablel, collective and party initiative, has prepared a rather special compilation entitled 'There Will Be Light'. The compilation focuses on deep listening, chill-out and ambient music, which encompasses the team's diverse approach to music, which can be experienced at their events and on their label. The idea behind 'There Will Be Light' was born several years ago as a concept for providing relaxing sounds, to invoke a sense of peace and calm, in headphones on the street, in the subway, at home or in the car. This notion is all the more pressing as Ukraine is being ravaged by war; the objective of this release feels all the more relevant and important. Rhythm Buro believes that everyone, everywhere, deserves to have the instruments to help them achieve a peaceful state of mind and they hope that through listening to this release, it can help them do so.

The latest drop from Low End Activist finds him teaming up with East London’s Razor for a blistering, mutant grime throwdown. Razor has been coming up for some time now, and the clue is in his name. Staggering, swaggering, diamond-sharp lines bending and flexing over LEA’s 10-tonne beat. Stepping on from past work with the likes of Filthy Gears and Trooh Hippi, this is as clear a statement of Razor’s skills as you need to hear. His versatility reaches beyond purist grime to become something more malleable – the perfect fit for the grey area of bassbin pressure LEA occupies.
25 years after its official release, Deeper Audio Cuts “DAC002” gets a very much demanded re-issue: two split EPs that contain remastered originals from the 1997 release together with fresh, unreleased tracks dug out from Scott’s DAT archives. This part 1, contains “My Jupiter Rox’s (Re-Wurk)” and “End” from the original DAC002 plus the previously unreleased “Exstatic”.
A wise character once reminded her to tread the heavy ground with light feet. After a whirlwind two years since moving back to Hong Kong and starting from scratch, Xiaolin has re-emerged from the depths of her studio stronger than ever with a second EP - her first vinyl release to date.Inspired by the Tower card from the Tarot, Tower Moment EP is a cosmic journey through four stages of healing: darkness, acceptance, transformation and freedom. The record begins with “Dark Night” (of the Soul), followed by the gentle comfort of “Safe With Me”, a nostalgic electro ballad. On Side B: a chuggy tune layered with textures and samples, “Lemuria”, transports listeners to a surreal land of self-discovery, while Blue Hour completes the experience with his anthemic “Elevator” remix. With her signature mix of 909 kicks and 808 breaks blended with acid bass lines, subtle percussion and ethereal melodies, Xiaolin’s organic approach to techno and electro showcases her colourful palette and sensitivity as a musician, along with a love for jazz and warm synth sounds from the early 90’s era.
Parrish Bond is enjoying a peaceful life, dedicated to finding the best records on Earth.. but he is set upon by agents of the masked assassin who leave him no time to dig.
For its second release of 2023, Marginal Returns presents its most anticipated - and largest - output to date. Levat is a decade-plus friend of the label, and like us, has always believed that good things come to those who wait. It has been an absolute pleasure seeing his musical career come in full blossom, with an all hardware, fully bespoke live set that is still the talk of each and every town it has visited.Live Cutz collects some favourites from the first couple of years of live performances: an all bases covered selection of functional club music providing every angle of “our” groove. From side A’s tougher, peaky moments, the mood switches directly to B1’s technicolour explosion ‘Vai’ and the introspective, grooving B2 ‘M-City’. C1’s ‘Re-Merge’ is a contemporary reimagining of electroclash. C2, ‘BL9’, is a collaboration with the infamous Bruno Schmidt - resulting in a textured, heads-down, tracky roller. Side D strikes a more pensive note, with the acidic infinity of ‘Ice’ and melancholically melodic sign off ’Luv 22’.
As we get ready to say goodbye to the Telomere Plastic series, we are excited to present Telomere 020.1, aka the first part out of 5. Arpeggios and groovy bass lines galore. Prepare your piano hands because you will find yourself playing that sweet air organ on this one!A2, Self Destruct Sequence from Synaptic Voyager (aka Telomere 014’s Illuminators), is a very emotional cut. Originally released digitally on Frame Of Mind, we were overjoyed to be given the green light to put this beauty on wax. Deep pads, tommy drums, hints of IDM and techno, and soul striking arpeggios pave the way for a special sonic journey. Close your eyes and melt away with this one!B1, Keio Acid from ESB. We are always delighted to share more ESB with you. Elan’s love for analog and tape give off a raw and authentic energy that is hard to come by. This deep, jazzy and loopy cut will keep you on your toes from start to finish. We can only dream of being on the dance floor as this one plays out!B2, Unemati from Vonsuck, is a deep and dubby cut that beautifully blends the three genres dub techno, house and techno. Dark rooms and dark skies are recommend for this one here, even though we could see these frequencies accompanied by a pink and red sunrise bringing waves of energy and nostalgia to your soul. Its a real treat to have Vonsuck aka Galaktlan on the Telomere series!
