B From E, the enigmatic producer from Denmark has been turning heads and rocking parties across Europe

B From E, the enigmatic producer from Denmark has been turning heads and rocking parties across Europe, showcasing his amoebic demeanour via his all-encompassing sets and rave-centric soundtracking. The Danish darling has found his sonic home, in deep digging for rave-tinged 90s garage and breaks, and channelling them into his own concoctions, using their educative, lucid inspiration. ‘Amnesia’ is the culmination of his latest musical direction, threading the twines of acid debauchery and old-school beats through a groove-tinted prism. B From E helps you to forget about your future, and live in the hallowed past.

The title track ‘Amnesia’ takes no prisoners from the word go. Sitting somewhere on the fence between Gat Decor and Kamaya Painters, the ceaseless melody transforms from phase to phase, thematically touching melodic, acid and trance virtues and encapsulating pure rave sensibility. Track 2 is the oddly named ‘Ootheca’, a downtempo acid-driven creation of polymorphic vitality. Drawing influence from classic 90s house as denoted by the mellifluous chords and arpeggiated keys, the result is a head-nodder of unstoppable nature. Third up is ‘Symetrix’. Cranking the journey into 6th gear, the overtly intense arrangement waxes and wanes, underpinned by pumping percussion and an unapologetic bass refrain. Rounding the EP off is ‘Prophecy’, a deep foray back into the downtempo realm, once more ringing truer than true with B From E’s crystalline 90’s influences and breaks majesty.

Let this music soothe you. Nothing we remember is ever forgotten. And everything forgotten is gone. ‘Amnesia’ is the light at the end of your tunnel. Or maybe it's just the beginning.

Enchanting, thrill-seeking desire. After three years, the second entry in the highly personal ZHR series has arrived. In Zohar's renewed modus operandi analog and digital techniques interact with dissected and transformed sound experiments -- an eclectic approach that honours the wide musical scope she is most interested in. Consciously withholding energy, these seven percussive and pulsating tracks seek a balance between a near teasing attitude, and total transgression. In the end, Zohar's volatile signature refuses to be contained.
This release is a 4track EP by CHKLTE with remixes by David Gtronic & Carebears.
REPRESS ALERT: Trelik returns with a repackaged edition of one of the catalogue's most treasured releases. "Overcome" and "Lady Science (NYC Sunrise)" need little introduction, and now come sporting the new TR11:11 matrix number. Written and produced by Thomas Melchior and Baby Ford aka Soul Capsule, these tracks came from one of the many sessions recorded at the West London Ifach Studio in 1999. On the A Side "Overcome" is stripped back and energetic, driven by rolling and shuffling garage style beats, tight bubbling bass and atmospheric synth pads. The intermittent vocal samples and the release's signature organ set you up for the flip, "Lady Science (NYC Sunrise)". Possibly one of house music's most emotive pieces, the track builds slowly with the introduction of each part building a story of soulful optimism based around a sparse palette of deep synths, uplifting keys and warm analogue bass. The understated beauty of the main vocal riff never seems to grow old or tired with the track lending itself perfectly to either main room, peak-time play or after-hours sessions alike. Remastered by Rashad at D & M.
After a successful first release, we are very pleased to present the next one by an icon & legend of house music. The years go by and Brian Cavender aka Seafoam does not stop impressing us with his music, these 4 tracks are accurately what we seek to capture on each release, music with that style that made us fall in love in the late '90s and early new century. The impressive thing here is that without mentioning which of these 4 tracks were made in the '90s. When we asked Brian for music and told him about our ideology he understood us perfectly and sent us a folder named "Old cuts", music made from roughly around 1995 to 2000. When we listened to the tracks we recognized that this was music created in the past but still sounds super fresh, another timeless gem for the ufo series catalog.
Arsonist Recorder lands on 20/20 Vision with his debut EP ‘Geist’. Following outings on Specimen Records, Diffuse Reality, Bass Agenda and his own imprint ZwaarteKracht. The EP sees Arsonist Recorder continue his exploration into groovy dark-matter electro- beats and abstract, abrasive sound-design. The title track ‘Geist’ kicks things off with deep Drexciyan bass and disorientating synth, an all out electro assault on the senses that sets the pace for the four track EP. ‘YvY’ follows this up like a 90% proof chaser, committing you to the land of no return as perfectly crafted drum patterns lay down heavy robotic funk with driving bass lines complimented by a peppering dark synth melodies. On the flip side ‘Rauch’ switches things up with rapid fire pad work, serving up fast paced breaks in a dose of hyper speed electro grooves. Wrapping things up E-606 forges an evocative robotic war cry, firing on all cylinders with restlessness club-rocking rhythms. With previous releases catching the attention of the late Andrew Weatherall as well as Detroit’s electro Don, DJ Stingray, Arsonist Recorder is definitely not one to sleep on!
