Having explored rather obscure and downtempo territory with Mr. G's album Pearls Don't Lay On the Shore earlier this year, CHILDHOOD returns with another discernig 12" dedicated to the dancefloor. Welcome to PLACE OF CONNECT PT.01! Ed Davenport, who has mainly focussed on his INLAND moniker in recent years, brings back another distinctive side of his personality delivering three unique, raw and pumping house cutz under his real name. The A-side starts off with Suntazia, an acid break beat anthem that sheds light and euphoria onto any dance floor, and is followed by the true jacking groove that is Inertia. The B-side is made up of Electricity, a wonderful testimonial to those magic moments on the dance floor, when everybody in the room just moves and moves... beyond the need of unnecessary gimmicks and sonic spectacles.

Formidable UK artist Harrison BDP is next up for our highly anticipated second release on E&X.Over the last few years Harrison has released on mostly every notable record label around building a prolific and much sought after discography in the process.His “Far Away EP” covers a little of everything musically from throbbing modern progressive house tones right through to crisp atmospheric breakbeats and even a touch of the balearic.Joining Harrison on the record we have invited Italian maestro Alex Neri for remix duties, with over thirty plus years as a DJ & producer Alex is synonymous for his sophisticated classics penning many early 90’s house hits as well recently finding fresh success on reputable imprints such as Slow Life and his own Wildflower records, we are absolutely delighted to welcome such a legendary figure to the label with his unique style & sound. I’m sure you will agree we have brought together two titans of the electronic music scene on this record and it does not disappoint.

Now in its tenth year, Frankfurt-based record label Die Orakel has earned itself a strong catalogue of classy releases in a distinct sonic and visual attitude, its latest being a compilation called Braindance. A fair assumption about Braindance as a genre could be, that it's rather in the zone of kaleidoscopic and whimsical quirktronica, less about IDM's futurist tropes. From Die Orakel's point of view, its very own Braindance compilation marks the label's tenth anniversary by releasing an intense listener's atlas, to its own and their creative collaborators' musical slant of mind.While much could be said about spectral traces of a leftfield past, nostalgia isn't heard anywhere. The more you listen to this selection, the deeper the tracks plug into your brain—stretching from ethereal harmonic licks rippling with fragile glitches, bleepy to bass-heavy electroid steppers of any BPM range, to abstract-scientific neo-modular artistry. Butter Side Up Records has put together a first-ever remix EP which is due to land in March 2024. It finds Gene On Earth, Garrett David, Huerta, and Driss Bennis aka OCB all adding their own spin to the still standout originals from the album Sweely released here in 2022, and it comes with original artwork from Max Binski.
