A choice 4 tracker of sought after italian house productions from 1993 - 1994 !

In the nineties, renown DJs and producers Leo Mas and Fabrice, gave life to a group of successful music labels. Muzak, Pin Up, Models Inc., Spock and Informal became legends in their own right. Ultimo Tango decided to open their vaults and bring its contents back to where they belong: dancefloors all over the world.

The first in a long series of future releases, “Non Volevo Ma Volavo” captures 90’s Italian dance subculture. Sunburnt shoulders, flashy Fiorucci shirts, colorful cocktails and moderate doses of ecstasy: this small pill of pure euphoria will bring you back to the golden age of the electronic “dolce vita”.

Bringing his signature heavy freak crunch to the label, Cocktail Party Effect's "Oscilloscope Detachments" is the latest addition to the Midnight Shift catalogue. Instructions: Follow the oscilloscope to jack into the EP's pulse from start to end.Headliner A1 '77' dazzles in melodic glory paired with glitchy underfoot and a high-voltage wire running hot. Next, '88' lets it all loose with classic breaks twisted on its head and with its core intestines spilling out. Unexpected turns in this effect-heavy club composition recalls the phrase that "you've gotta know the rules to break the rules" and CPE is undoubtedly a master of that. '99' takes it further down South London style for the heads, while ambient closer '111' visualises the previously underscored oscilloscope in full spectrum.
EYA returns with a four-artist VA mining the outer reaches of trance and electro from 110–140bpm.We lift off with a throbbing slow-burner from mid-90s Danish duo UFO, whose ‘Make It Light’ was previously only available on limited CD.Things accelerate on ‘Out Of Touch’, the latest in a line of shimmering dancefloor missiles from Sohrab. On the flip, DJ N4 falls fully into a trance on ‘Bio Aggregation’, with vocalizations, acid lines and organic percussion all driving us to warp speed.‘Bad Weather’ by French electro wiz Fasme completes the trip, a craftily mutating electro-meets-prog epic whose beautiful outro will see you home safely. Enjoy the ride.
