Formidable UK artist Harrison BDP is next up for our highly anticipated second release on E&X.Over the last few years Harrison has released on mostly every notable record label around building a prolific and much sought after discography in the process.His “Far Away EP” covers a little of everything musically from throbbing modern progressive house tones right through to crisp atmospheric breakbeats and even a touch of the balearic.Joining Harrison on the record we have invited Italian maestro Alex Neri for remix duties, with over thirty plus years as a DJ & producer Alex is synonymous for his sophisticated classics penning many early 90’s house hits as well recently finding fresh success on reputable imprints such as Slow Life and his own Wildflower records, we are absolutely delighted to welcome such a legendary figure to the label with his unique style & sound. I’m sure you will agree we have brought together two titans of the electronic music scene on this record and it does not disappoint.

Ahem is a new project from Housecraft Recordings head Jeffry Astin (aka Xiphiidae, Digital Natives) along with co-conspirators J.P. Wright and Brian Kinkade. Recommended for fans of smoked out dub-bient and deep Appalachian drones.

Overthink Records start the new repress series with this gem from Bryan Zentz as Bryan Never, originally released on Psychoactive Records in 1997. Dark Rooms EP is the perfect combination of the sound of electro, breaks & techno with a touch of ambient (in the track A3).

For the second release, Tonomat welcomes Christopher Ledger with 3 original tracks and a revamp by Tonomat Soundsystem aka Dragoș Ilici & Prichindel.A1 offers a heavy, dark, introspective breakbeat & acid trip, followed by a more driving track that transforms into dreamy electro midway on A2.B1 is a straight beat acid groover, perfect to pick up the energy and keep it going, while B2 showcases a playful percussive track that takes on different shapes throughout its development.

Generative music seems to imply a systems approach to music, or a system that once created can utilise randomness in a creative way. The benevolence of nature’s creativity belies this musical term, and can flip the word ‘generative’ to mean to involve constantly flowing creativity with purpose. In Europe there was a time in the Pagan Renaissance when architecture would mirror nature’s generative quality. Sculptures and columns were to imply animation or movement.That’s where Milan W.’s album comes through in 2021. His music involves the night shadows of Europe’s architecture and its growth. In Bloom personifies itself by showing Antwerp’s influential ‘Night Play’: a term that can relate to many European cities such as Bologna, Vienna, and so on and so on. The leftovers of Renaissance and gothic architecture are everywhere in Europe still; layers of ruins that can generate the impression of simultaneous time periods. Tracks like Spa and Helium Queen reveal and revel in the power of shadow movement that is generated by the night. In Milan W.’s past works, the poignant and simple creative play of dark wave and synth beat music was his vehicle for expression, but now on In Bloom he departs to a touching sidereal impressionism allied with Coil’s instrumental pieces on Horse Rotorvator — an album whose cover portrays the potential powers of the pavilion just as Milan W. is portraying the generative soul and alienation of Europe’s ‘Night Play’. Because of In Bloom we can come to believe that there is a secretive energy in alienation, a playfulness that is alight at Night.
