Niklas Wandt and Niklas Rehme-Schlüter (Cass.) are two multi-instrumentalists and genuine musical minds that work on the fringes of ambient, kraut, jazz and experimental electronics. Both were active in numerous projects as well as solo artists, before joining forces for this special recording to be released on candomblé. „Esculturas Rupestres“, Spanish for „Rock Sculptures“, delivers an enchanting collage of spoken word, ancient drumming, synth ambi(val)ence and free improvisation. N. Wandt serves you dada poetry and stoned drum grooves while N. R-Schlüter provides for the synthesized atmosphere present throughout this recording.
On the back of V- Necks re issue Auto and the Lost 1990s Recordings one half of the band V Neck Mark Churcher takes time out from from his Chicago Bee project to deliver his first full length album on Emote. He teams up with the cult Brighton based experimental artist Alasdair Willis (The Vitamin B 12) who plays saxophone on 3 of the 11 tracks on the album. The album has all the hallmarks of an Emote record and more. Likely to be listed as down tempo / abstract ambient and blending many different styles together. If you are in tune with free jazz and abstract electronic tribal music you should find this good home spooky listening . Beta Librae returns to Incienso with her third album, “DAYSTAR”. Whereas her previous album for the label, “Sanguine Bond” was an altogether more heady affair - “DAYSTAR”, like the name implies, is a bright and bold waypoint in the ever expanding Beta Librae universe. On eight songs, including a striking collaboration with james K on the lead single “Late At Night”, Beta gathers up new elements of sound and pairs them her unmistakable rhythmic shapes to bring us the most wide-ranging and cohesive B.L. album yet.
