Paris-based producer and DJ, Drux, returns to his own Cabale Records this May with his Replicant EP

Paris-based producer and DJ, Drux, returns to his own Cabale Records this May with his Replicant EP, featuring
two originals solo cuts, one collaboration with label co-founder Albin Renard plus a remix from Vienna’s Paul
Walter.

Recent years have seen Paris based DJ and producer Vincent Drux, simply known by his last name, unveil a
collaborative album alongside Jacques Bon on the esteemed Smallville Records, a collaborative track with Bon
on Lawrence and Carsten Jost’s much loved Dial imprint, a remix on Tiga’s Turbo and of course Cabale Records
where he returns here following the 2021 launch with the ‘Transe’ EP.
Drux – Replicant EP (Incl. Paul Walter Remix)

‘Pancouff’ opens the EP and sees Drux lay down metallic percussion, swaying low-end tones and crisp hats
alongside murky, unfurling atmospherics, hypnotic choir like chants and twitchy synths throughout. ‘Faire un
flot’ follows and weaves together a snaking sub bass groove with shuffled, organic drums, glitched out synths
and billowing textures.
Title-cut and Albin Renard collab ‘Replicant’ opens the flip side, stripping things back to snappy wooden
percussion, hypnotising spoken word vocals, ethereal synth swells and a fluttering low-end drive. Vienna’s Paul
Walter then rounds out the EP with his ‘my Stellababy Remix’, extracting the core vibe of the original while
stamping his unique mark on things via oscillating drums, choppy vocal cuts and sweeping, airy tones
throughout.

VELVET is the new project of JNJS (Jay Nortown & Jacobo Saavedra). No tags, no specific styles, just dancefloor music. For catalogue number one, they present two tracks by Triptil, Romanian artist with a nice house vibe. Side A will feature a remix by UK master Silverlining, while side B includes a break remix by JNJS.
Four exotic dancefloor brews prescribed by the UK’s premier witch doctor a.k.a. Leeds lad Pete Melba. “He looks barking mad” you say? That may be true, but peer beyond the bone piercings and the smell of burnt tequila and you’ll glimpse that rare spark of genius some spend a lifetime chasing. These are the real deal. Drink up!
LVCA steps up as the first artist on Anah and Lumiere's newly formed label Cymatix with a five tracker joining the dots between techno, synth pop and electro.Recorded between Barcelona and Toronto ‘Time Perceptions’ sees the Italian producer delve into his knowledge of 80’s hardware to assemble an EP that pays homage to the sound of early 2000’s synth pop influenced electro while retaining a contemporary feel and aesthetic.Over the past few years LVCA has defined a sound that is instantly recognisable, distinctly dancefloor focused, and his latest EP displays a mastery of machines, finesse for synth-lines and TB-303 acid.

You could say, ahem, that Infiltrate has infiltrated deep into our conscious with its fine run of releases as we are well and truly locked in to the output each and every time. As far as we can tell, both of these artists are new names who are making their first releases here - or they are at least appearing on Juno for the first time. But the music is so impressive we find it hard to believe this is their debut. Cyphon kicks off with the tight, twitchy electro workout that is 'Hegemony' which Gene Harvest mixes into something more full fat and celestial. Konertymi's 'Valtameri' is a rich, colourful world of freeform melodic arps and arching heavenly chords while Astraali Suunnittelu could be a Kraftwerk does modern electro tune.
