Following on from the new future beat alliance album “Beginner’s Mind” released last year, Matthew Puffett (FBA) follows up with a new ep, moving into a heavier mood with a focus on the dance floor, the ep will be available on Ltd edition vinyl & digital, vinyl will include Claude young’s deeply Immersive version of “Birth”First up we have The titled track “Primordial Sky” a slightly darker territory than usual, with heavy synth textures & arpeggios rolling along at a sleazy 75bpm, the ultimate dubbed out, electronic weapon for those darkened club mornings, remember those ones.“Mind Race” see’s Puffett reflecting on early electro techniques combined with a heavy atmosphere & unsettling string arrangements paired with razor-sharp drum programming & sonics which keeps building into the unknown.Mode 4 is classic FBA signature territory & a long forming production pattern spanning back to the early recording days of void records & Matt’s first album Hidden Emotion.Rounding off the Ep from the legendary home of techno, Detroit "Claude Young”, Claude strips away the dubby, broken beats from the original track “Birth” & replaces them with layers of synths, strings & new chord progressions which transforms the piece into a beautiful imaginary film score,“Primordial Sky” an audio soundtrack diary for current times

Atelier Baros, the 6th release from DisDat, is a 3 track EP by the Romanian master of texture, harmony and rhythm, Petre Inspirescu. The three tracks appearing on DisDat 006 / Ooze 000 each respectively offer singular experiences in atmospheric house, ambient and techno storytelling. “Foc,” “Si” and “Para” are tunes for the dance floor packed with layers of composition taking us back through time to our prehistoric heritage. The sounds of “Foc” and “Si” found on side A, in tune with the sophistication we’ve come to expect from the Dis Dat label, deliver an evocative soundscape where the relationship of humankind to the mastering of the elements––fire, earth, wind and water––can be felt.“Foc” (A1) a pulsating ethnoindustrial house track which spares no time in spreading its storied web, carries strong undertones of universal harmonics alongside the immediacy of bright splashing beats and upfront melodies. With “Foc” Inspirescu awakens the mythological figure of Hephaestus, the divine smith and patron of craftsmen, bequeathing the tradition of taming of such powerful elements such as fire and iron to humankind. Conjured here are the ancient ties binding human development with the essential elements that have become inseparable from our very lives, fire and iron, water and wind, all the while implicating the listener as the present day deity carrying the fruits of age-old discoveries and historicity.The storytelling power of A1 is followed with “Si” (A2) a playful and uplifting meditative groove on the power of the sublime, the awe inspired by the experience of the grandeur found in the universal soul of all things. The full bodied sound of “Si” aided by complex organic percussion work, flightlike harmonies and metallic grooves reinforce our industrial heritage while grabbing the listener for a journey through layers of dreamlike states and spatial reflection.The pulsating techno sound of side B brings together the elements found on “Foc” and “Si” into “Para” an unmistakably tight and danceable track; “Para” has also bloomed into the inauguration of the Ooze label, which will serve as DisDat and ReSolute’s outlet for the techno colored side of the musical spectrum. “Foc si para,” as the saying goes––it doesn’t take long to feel the flight of that raging fire connecting our age to how it all began.

Low Flung is the long-standing solo project of Sydney based artist Danny Wild. Following their debut LP “Blow Waves” in 2018 we now see Wild’s return to physical for his second full length studio album on Paper-Cuts. Featuring 9 selected works further sketching out the private spaces of various tape explorations and live performances between 2018-2020.

Part 2 sees a rise in energy levels, with the German revealing four more cuts packed to the brim with quality. ‘Light Pink Bubblegum’ is a trademark Fabe cut combining up-tempo drum grooves alongside slinking basslines and resonant chords, while ‘Get Out To Paint’ and ‘From Top To Bottom’ both employ chunky bass and lush pads effortlessly. Title cut ‘Out Of Change’ once again showcases the ‘Fabe sound’ perfectly to close the B-side, fusing introspective melodies and heady drums with deep-lying, dancefloor-driven undertones.

Clutter is Jean Jacques’s debut EP and in his own words “his first attempt to translate emotions and experiences into tracks”. While each of the four tracks has its own character and atmosphere, the end result is a very coherent body of work that can be broken down into two moods with a driving and unforgiving A side that is subtly balanced by a moody and dreamy B side.
