Empathy is the codeword when it comes to The AM's second solo EP: The 'Sexworker' EP. A short story through music and art, allowing you a moment to walk a mile in another seasoned professional's shoes... Imagine life through her eyes, her thoughts, her feelings, her actions and motivations as her work takes her from flirty fun to a much more severe and fierce role as a vigilante, fighting for justice and retribution for women who've been abused and wronged. As the EP progresses, the further we're plunged into this dark nocturnal world of carnal chaos, deceit and danger. Sat in a not-so distant neon tomorrow, downtown Detroit, this is the vivid concept and narrative conjured by Detroit native, violinist-turned-techno artist The AM (Ann-Marie Teasley) Sliding into our collections since her debut tracks last year as one half of HLX-1, 2022 has been all about The AM solo releases; in March we had 'Black Majik' on Tresor. Now on Deeptrax 'Sexworker' is another revelation from the agenda-setting artist who's crafted a completely immersive narrative that ranges from the playful electro beats of 'Intercosmic Lap Dance' to the runaway juggernaut 'Black Galaxy' (a collaboration with Scan 7's Track Masta Lou). Each track adding layers of tension and intrigue, cutting through the late night sleaze and exploitation with raw machine soul, 'Sexworker' is steeped in detail... But loaded with enough space for your imagination. Fronted by a stark futuristic city artwork, 'Sexworker' takes place in The AM's stomping ground but could just as easily happen anywhere in the world... Amsterdam, London and right now, our speakers. This bumps in an exciting yet timeless way. It's AM 24/7 right now.
Mella Dee Presents RYAN, a new project from one of the UK’s most prolific electronic producers. Exploring a darker, experimental side of the mastermind behind ‘Techno Disco Tool’, the new project sees RYAN take things underground with new track ‘Static Movement’. Alongside the track, RYAN has announced his forthcoming EP Connected Experiences, a 4-track collection of essential club tools due for release on August 11 via DJ and Body Movements co-founder Saoirse’s imprint trUst. The landmark release will be the first time the label head has featured another artist's music and is testament to the direction of Mella Dee’s new musical project, RYAN.
Dorisburg is Bossmusik regular with four releases on the label under his belt. For this EP he is joined by Efraim Kent - the newest member of the Boss family. Dorisburg and Efraim have many things in common, not just the previous records the pair has produced, but more importantly they unite in a shared love for intricate drum patterns, as well as being masters of trippy spiraling sounds. For the 10th installment in the Bossmusik collection, the Swedish duo goes all in with four deep, yet funky, expertly produced tech house cuts. The tenth release on the label will be released exactly ten years after the first record was released the 13th of October. The A-side opens with Further. A penetrating kick keeps chopped up drums and a spitting vocal sample in order and when the brooding bassline gets to close, hypnotic x-rays twists the narrative. On A2 the boys are clearly letting you know it is playtime; opening with a funk-driven beat and tumbling drums, this track is nothing less than a funhouse full of twirling tocsins - Attjo is certainly nothing to sneeze at. B1, Cave Gossip, is a low-slung affair with an electro-infused bassline; here a deep groove takes you on a hallucinogenic underground journey and a nonchalant vocal sample grows into a warped echoing choir. Final track Skrattack is where the drum-loving duo puts the full spotlight on the percussion: complex rhythm patterns provide a spaced-out backdrop, attacked by what sounds like giddy little extraterrestrial critters, ready to mess up the party in the most charming of ways.

Space and Awareness is the debut release on Tonight’s Dream Records, a record label and mix series based in Brighton UK, focusing on forward thinking, unique music within the realms of ambient, downtempo and electronica.Space and Awareness is the eighth album from Inhmost, the alias of producer Simon Huxtable. With over 24 years experience Huxtable has released a huge array of music. However, now Huxtable uses Inhmost to serve up deep immersive ambient and downtempo music. Space and Awareness is filled with deep baselines and downtempo breaks that are perfectly balanced with the atmospheric ambient textures making it a thoroughly engaging listen. In the producers words “Space & Awareness was made at a time when I felt particularly conscious and receptive of the space around me and I wanted to create an atmosphere that reflected this organically. A mixed approach of using analogue and digital hardware both in and out of the box along with captured field recordings was used to create a broad and changeable soundscape. I did not want this album to just be purely ambient so the use of downtempo beat structures and rhythms felt like a more appropriate way to convey the variety of emotions that I was feeling at the time.”The album has been mastered by prolific producer and mastering engineer Rafael Anton Irisarri at Black Knoll Studio who has worked on albums for artists such as Juliana Barwick, Grouper, Steve Hauschildt, Loscil, Telefon Tel Aviv and Tycho amongst hundreds of others.
