Tammo Hesselink inaugurates his newly launched imprint Rear View Memory.

Tammo Hesselink inaugurates his newly launched imprint Rear View Memory, intended for occasional dumps of personal works. On this first release the Dutch producer combines his rhythmic side with his modern hypnotic techno approach. The A side contains two UK techno inspired tracks that lie between soundsystem-ready dj tools and atmospheric floaters. The B side contains a percussive techno-not-techno roller and a halftime drum & bass workout in collaboration with Romanian producer DYL.

XY Dosing©(UD)is a maximalist genre of electronic music that refers to sound productions that make for a radical succession to the minimalist genre, regardless of style and aesthetic practice though mainly associated with the field of sound arts. More precisely, it designates that which embraces heterogeneity and allows for complex systems of juxtapositions and collisions, in which all outside influences are viewed as potential raw material. However, UD relies more on singular experimentation rather than the addition of musical characteristics attached to specific genres.Subsequently, UXY Dosing© gives birth to MDM(Maximal Dance Music)which, beyond a sole matter of genre, remains linked to the high consumption of dextrose associated with milk, which de facto shares the same acronym as MDM(Maximal Dextrose & Milk).Read : Dextrose, energiser or poison?UXY Dosing capsule pack notice: The packaging attached to the front cover includes three ready-to-consume UXY dosing capsules, which give you access to the last three songs of the album. If this packaging is missing, you unfortunately get an incomplete dose of the album.
FOR04 kicks off with a contribution from the London based duo, Kassian. Joe & Warren's partnership is both prolific and diverse. Next up we have Casey Spillman with aptly titled 'Full Circle'. In a short period of time Casey's distinct groove laden output has landed him with releases on Fuse, Constant Sound and Locus to name but a few.Flip and awe! 'Hour Glass' is a bomb of rare dance floor destructive power. Crafted by the label's curator Luther Vine and modular wizard Gregorio Soave, prior to its release on wax 'Hour Glass' has been tested as a secret weapon on most main & unsuspecting dance floors of UK's capital.FOR004 waves goodbye with a fresh collaboration from East London's finest, Thoma Bulwer and the esteemed Fabric resident, Anna Wall.
For AC004, we’re delighted to welcome Glasgow’s Modus to Alien Communications – for what’s planned to be the first of many collaborations. The Super-Kamio EP sees him delve into deeper territory, setting aside the pacy techno of recent releases for something a little more introspective. The title track, inspired by the Super-Kamiokande neutrino observatory, kicks things off with snappy drums and melodies which continue to evolve over the next 8 minutes. ‘Breeze’ lightens the tone with an arpeggiated baseline and playful melodies, whilst ‘Off The Grid’ heads into dance floor territory with syncronated stabs and warm pads bringing the track, and release, to a climax.
Natural Sciences introduce the first issue of Embryo: a 50 page magazine, 12" record, A3 Poster and mix series, ft: Hieroglyphic Being, Beau Wanzer, Fumu, Margenrot, Breathing Problem Productions, December, Ki Jeal, Bacon Grease and other artists and labels from across the underground. The first issue comes with an exclusive mix from Sawf (available as a QR Code) and killer two-track 12" from Smpl Smpl.Enclosed in heavy-duty PVC Wallet (w. flap) and outer sticker, inside sticker and hi-gloss A3 poster.
For Balmat's fourth release, we turn our attention close to home: to the Mallorca-born, Barcelona- based artist Nueen, aka Nacho Pezzati. Nueen has been developing his highly personal style of blissfully Balearic ambient over the past few years, with releases on labels like Quiet Time Tapes and Good Morning Tapes. On Diagrams of Thought, he explores new depths in his sound. His atmospheres remain bucolic, butthere's a disturbance at work, a hint of uncertainty swirling beneath seemingly placid pads. While Diagrams of Thought retains the ambient (or at least ambient-adjacent) focus of all Balmat's releases so far, the album also marks new frontiers for the label; the album's first half is graceful and largely beatless, but the mood grows murkier with the foggy drones of "Dome" and the intimations of liquid drum 'n' bass on "Maxima"; "Veta," meanwhile, might just represent the most forceful rhythm to appear on a Balmat release yet. Limited supplies. Dont sleep on this beauty!
Empathy is the codeword when it comes to The AM's second solo EP: The 'Sexworker' EP. A short story through music and art, allowing you a moment to walk a mile in another seasoned professional's shoes... Imagine life through her eyes, her thoughts, her feelings, her actions and motivations as her work takes her from flirty fun to a much more severe and fierce role as a vigilante, fighting for justice and retribution for women who've been abused and wronged. As the EP progresses, the further we're plunged into this dark nocturnal world of carnal chaos, deceit and danger. Sat in a not-so distant neon tomorrow, downtown Detroit, this is the vivid concept and narrative conjured by Detroit native, violinist-turned-techno artist The AM (Ann-Marie Teasley) Sliding into our collections since her debut tracks last year as one half of HLX-1, 2022 has been all about The AM solo releases; in March we had 'Black Majik' on Tresor. Now on Deeptrax 'Sexworker' is another revelation from the agenda-setting artist who's crafted a completely immersive narrative that ranges from the playful electro beats of 'Intercosmic Lap Dance' to the runaway juggernaut 'Black Galaxy' (a collaboration with Scan 7's Track Masta Lou). Each track adding layers of tension and intrigue, cutting through the late night sleaze and exploitation with raw machine soul, 'Sexworker' is steeped in detail... But loaded with enough space for your imagination. Fronted by a stark futuristic city artwork, 'Sexworker' takes place in The AM's stomping ground but could just as easily happen anywhere in the world... Amsterdam, London and right now, our speakers. This bumps in an exciting yet timeless way. It's AM 24/7 right now.
